Praise The Lord!

As mentioned, Ryan has now transitioned to taking 1-nap a day. This has opened up a lot of time in the mornings for us. One of the things that we desperately wanted to get back into our routine is going to church on Sunday mornings. We really have missed the spiritual connection that one can only feel when you're sitting in a church pew. This Sunday, Mommy and Daddy listened to a wonderful sermon while Ryan played with his new friends in our church daycare.

Ryan vs. Oliver

Here is a friendly game of tug of war between a toddler and a dog. Any bets on who wins? Let me give you a hint - he has fur and a tail.

Oh No! Not Again!

Our house got TP'd again! Twice in one year - unbelievable! Good news - we know who the culprit is. Please do not judge why there is no punishment involved on video. As you can see, the suspect is too dang cute to prosecute.

One Nap A Day!

Have you noticed that I haven't blogged as often as I normally do? Main Reason: Ryan is taking 1-nap a day now. Amazing, how moving from 2-naps a day to just 1-nap a day really puts a damper on mommy's free time to do important things like Blog and Facebook!

Over the last month, Ryan was struggling to keep up with his 2-nap a day schedule. He just wasn't tired enough to take both naps. So, it was an easy transition to 1-nap a day. This new schedule has opened up so much free time in the morning for us to run around and do things. One of the things that we couldn't do before is story time at the library. This week he started joining the morning class again and loves to play with all the kids his age.

Here he is playing in the library right before his class starts. . .

Happy Halloween Everyone! This year, Ryan dressed up as a blue and green monster - a friendly monster if there is such a thing. Our first stop on Halloween was to our friends Tommy and Ashley's house. Their cul-da-sac was having a Halloween block party for the kiddos - cupcakes, bounce house and games! What fun!

Then, it was off to the Ceaser's house. Of course, we wanted to get a picture of Brooklyn dressed up in her finest Minnie Mouse costume - doesn't she look cute? Please note: Ryan opted to take no afternoon nap so at this point we were in rare form. .

Reminds me of last year, how we attempted to get a picture of them together. Maybe Halloween 2011, we'll get Ryan to smile!

Stay tuned for next years Halloween. By then, Ryan will have the whole trick-or-treating down to a science. Lets just hope he gets a nap in that day. . .

I Love My Recorder

I remember back in Elementary School, we were given our very own recorder to play during Music Class. I would take it home and practice over-and-over "Hot Cross Buns". Aww, good memories! I just couldn't resist buying Ryan a recorder after watching him play with Brooklyn's the other weekend. Plus, lets get honest here -- the thing was only $3.00 at Wal-Mart!

Here's my boy playing beautiful music for me this morning while we watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on TV.

Mommy's running shoe has been missing for days. Thankfully, Ryan's Nanny found it hanging out in the upstairs bathroom cabinet.

Halloween 2010

I do realize that Halloween is still 1 week away. But, I couldn't resist getting Ryan dressed up in his monster costume for a Trick-or-Treat event in Frisco. As you might recall, we went to this same event last year but decided not to stay because the line to trick-or-treat through the miniature town was unbelievably long.

Well, things haven't changed since then. We found the line still way too long and to top it off it began to rain on us . . . HARD! Here are a few pictures of us having fun. . then wet. . then tired -- in that order.

Ryan is so excited to show off his costume. Parents would walk by and take pictures of Ryan - that's how dang cute he is!

When we took this video, rain had just started to sprinkle on us. We had been standing in line for about 30 minutes. . . Mommy always looking on the bright side of things!

Then, there is Daddy! He wasn't happy about (A) standing in line, (B) getting wet, and (c) missing the Rangers Game.

Notice Mommy's shirt - soaked!

Yeah! Tara, Brandon and Lauren decided to join all the crazy parents standing in the rain. Thanks for the umbrella!

After an hour or so of standing in line, we finally got a chance to Trick-or-Treat in the little town. Poor Ryan was so tired that he preferred sitting in his stroller. Mommy made Daddy get at least a few pieces of candy. . .preferably chocolate. . as a consolation prize. Good Times!

Haircut & Chuck!

Bobby and I both agreed it was time for Ryan to get his 4th haircut. Bobby took him over the weekend and to my shock they completely cut off all his hair. Hmm, the haircut looks very familiar. . . maybe it's because he looks JUST LIKE HIS DADDY now! I am still trying to get used to the fact that my little boy isn't so little anymore. . .

That evening, it was off to Chuck's house! Who's Chuck you ask? Well that's Chucky Cheese - Ryan had his first introduction to Chuck and they hit it off immediately. Here are some pictures of our visit. . . .
