Have I mentioned how much I love the Fall especially kid-friendly events like Pumpkin Farms! We took Ryan to one out in Grapevine last year - took us over 45 minutes to get there and everyone in Dallas seemed to be there. Not again! I heard great things about the "Big Orange Pumpkin Farm" in Celina so we decided to check it out.
We got there right at 10am when they opened the doors - weather was great, no crowd or lines and it took us no time at all to get there -- SUCCESS!
As soon as we walked in, we ran into cows, sheep and goats - we could get right up front and pet/feed them. Ryan would point to each animal and say "moo" or "baa". Really cute! And with Nanny's help, he even let the animals eat out of his hand!

They had these various characters displayed throughout the farm. Oh how I love that Ryan will smile on cue now - all we have to say is "cheese" and we get a cute smile out of him.

Nanny and I were cracking up about this picture below. Nanny tried getting Ryan to sit on one of the pumpkins for yet another photo op and she accidentally put him right on top of the pumpkin stem. He kept saying "Ouch, Ouch, Nanny".

Mom, lets drive the tractor over there!

Ryan kept calling these small pumpkins "The Baby Pumpkins". You can see we've been talking about baby a lot in our house!

Time for a ride! Let me explain to you all what exactly we were sitting on. . . well, um, I should say straddling. There was no chair in these compartments so we were both straddling a piece of wood that was no wider than a foot. My rear was killing me at the end. . . . not to mention my big belly kept knocking Ryan off his seat every time we hit a bump.

Aw, a much more comfortable seat on the hay ride.

The pumpkin farm was actually located on a private residence. So, of course Ryan found things that he wasn't suppose to play with. Out of this huge pumpkin farm, Ryan found a baseball cage that had helmets, baseballs and bats scattered on the ground. He sure is Bobby's boy!

Before we left, Ryan got to pick out his own pumpkin. He found this "baby" pumpkin in the middle of all these big ones. Good choice, buddy!
