San Antonio Fun!

Bobby, Ryan and I went to San Antonio 2 weeks ago for an Engagement Party.  Brent, Bobby's youngest brother, got engaged and my mother-in-law threw them a fabulous Engagement Party at their home.  After much consideration, we decided to leave Emma at home with Gracie and my mom.  I just wasn't ready to tackle a 5 hour car ride and Sea World with a 5-month old baby.

We stayed in a hotel for one night and then stayed with Grandma and Grandpa the rest of our stay.  Ryan thought staying at a hotel was so cool. . . in the beginning!  The novelty wore off quickly after he found out how small the rooms were (and we were in a SUITE!) and that there was no backyard to play in.  Again, we only stayed one night and that was good for all of us!

Here Ryan is jumping on the hotel bed - what fun!

I don't have any pictures from the Engagement Party because quite frankly Bobby and I were too busy chasing Ryan around and making sure he wasn't getting into mischief!

But, I do have plenty of pictures from our Sea World adventures. . .

Paw-Paw and Ryan watching the Seal/Walrus Show!

This picture was taken towards the end of the day - we were all hot and tired!

Mommy and Daddy rode several kid rides with Ryan.  He loved it.

Waiting for the Shamu Show to start!

Mommy and Daddy having some fun - I purposely sat in the middle because I heard that was the best seat for those who did not want to get wet.  Everyone else on the ride got soaked.  HA!

Bert & Ernie!

Zoe and Cookie Monster!

Check out Ryan's goofy face!

We also hit up Kiddie Park while we were in San Antonio.  Ryan loves this place because all the rides are just his size.

This was a new ride that Ryan has never seen before.  As we waited in line, the boys that were in line were all 4 years old or older.  Bobby and I weren't sure if Ryan had the arm strength to paddle his way around the track. . . I guess we were wrong!  What a strong little cookie!

Ryan is sitting at the front of the bus having a good ole' time with the other kids

Too bad this is my only picture of Ryan and his cousin Lauren.  They sure had a good time hanging out in San Antonio together!

Trip was a success!  We can't wait to go back at Thanksgiving . . with Emma!

Backyard Play

Temperatures are already creepin' into the 90's.  We spend lots of our evenings playing out in the backyard as a family.  The playset was well worth the money - kids love playing on it especially now that Emma has her own swing!

These pictures were taken of Emma the first time she's ever been pushed in a swing.  She loved it and we quickly found out that the higher she goes the more she likes it.  Sounds like someone we already know!

Daredevil

We already know that Ryan is a bit of a daredevil.  His "no fear" attitude is a continued theme throughout my blog over the last 3 years.  I feel like the older he gets the more daring he gets.

We went to San Antonio last weekend to visit Grandma and Grandpa. Within 15 minutes of arriving in San Antonio, Ryan sees one of Grandpa's motorcycles in the garage and asks to ride it.  I think a part of Ryan reached heaven because that little boy just lit up as soon as Grandpa gave him his very first ride on a motorcycle.

He kept telling Grandpa to go faster!

During Memorial Day Weekend, Ryan wakeboarded for the first time with his Daddy.  This was the first time Bobby got Ryan up on the board with him so in the video you can tell both of them felt a little uneasy.  Plus, Ryan jumped into the water at the very end of the video.  He quickly learned that was not okay!  You will see in the second video they are both old pros - Ryan is holding onto Daddy's hand!

Latest Happenings

I know I haven't blogged lately - lots going on in The Weilbacher house!  Here is a quick update on what we've been up to. . . .

We introduced Emma to rice cereal about a week ago - she loves it!  In the video she seems to be a little cranky and that's only beacuse I wasn't feeding her fast enough.  Yep, she gets fussy when I don't hustle!  Since she started eating cereal she is now forgoing her 5:30am feeding and sleeping in till 7:00am.  You go girlfriend!

Ryan's last day of school was on May 17th - bring on the Summer!  This picture was taken on his last day - he was so excited for the ice cream party (surprised?)

Amazing how fast time flies - this was taken on his first day of school.  He was so nervous and so was his mama!

Here are some recent pictures of my Emma Kate - she's getting so big!  She is rolling around and just recently mastered sitting up by herself.  She truly is the happiest baby we've ever seen - rarely cries and is always game for running around with her brother.

Stolen Camera

Here is what I find on my camera after a certain 3 year old has been playing with it without me knowing!

The Zoo

Ryan had such a great time at The Dallas Zoo last Friday.  I was originally going to join Ryan with his Dots, Aunt Kristen and Cousin Brooklyn but ended up getting sick earlier that week and just didn't have enough energy to walk the zoo.  Thankfully, Dots and Aunt Kristen insisted that Ryan still come with them and I am so glad they did.  After seeing the pictures, he clearly had a great time.

This picture was taken at the end of the day.  You can tell they are starting to fade a little - check out Brooklyn's facial expression!

Just over a year ago, this picture was taken at the Zoo!

Bring on the Summer

Ryan's School is officially out on Thursday, May 17th for the Summer.  I entertained the idea of signing Ryan up in multiple camps over the Summer to keep this guy busy.  But silly me, I realized that Ryan will have just as much fun hanging with Gracie (Nanny) and Emma.  Gracie has been taking pictures of their adventures over the last week and here are all the fun things they've been doing. .

LOTS of PLAYDATES with his buddies from school and in the neighborhood - Andre', Jackson and Ethan to name a few!
Gracie lives in Little Elm and she constantly finds fun things for them to do.  Here they are at a neighborhood party - petting zoo, face painting and pony rides!  They've also hit up the splash park in Allen Fairview, Little Elm Beach and tons of parks!

Ryan says BRING ON THE SUMMER!

Splash Park in Allen.  First one there and last one to leave!

Gracie coordinated a picnic at the park for about 8 other Nannies in the neighborhood.  Lots of food and fun!

Good Morning!

My mornings "before having kid"s are a distant memory at this point.  I can vaguely remember getting up around 8:30a and casually walking into the kitchen to make breakfast.  I would eat breakfast while it was still hot and could watch Good Morning America while reading the newspaper. Why didn't I cherish those quiet moments before?!?  For the record, none of those things happen anymore.  But after you see this video you'll see why my mornings are a lot more entertaining and rewarding!  This video was taken this morning at around 6:15am - yawn!
