Dallas Children's Museum

Gracie and I took the kids to the Nature & Science Children's Museum last week.  What a cute place for little one's to learn and explore. . . .

Mommy forgot that a rock climbing wall is nearly impossible when wearing an Orthopedic boot - poor guy!

Emma loved "playing house" with some other little girls.

Milking a cow!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Emma!

Vacation: Part Two!

Cabo San Lucas Vacation continues. . .

When we booked our trip we knew the Hilton Resort was located in Los Cabos and not Cabo San Lucas.  If we wanted to go into Cabo where the famous Marina, Lover's Beach, Celebrity owned restaurants, shopping, etc we would have to take a $30 cab ride each way.  We knew that would add up quickly so we decided to rent a car for a good part of our time there.  And I am so glad we did!

Here is our sporty rental car called the Dodge Attitude.  Here were some of the special features it carried - had to manually roll the window up and down, no working radio and it rattled once we got over a certain speed limit. . . . LOVE IT!

The Dodge Attitude gave us access to Cabo Marina -- loved looking at all the boats and yachts

Lover's Beach

Check out the seal on top of the rock.  Perfect spot to catch some rays!

Sunsets were beautiful!

One of the reasons why we were so excited to get home!!!

Our Vacation

Bobby and I spent 6-days and 5-nights in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. . . just the two of us!  With the help of both sets of Grandparents, we were able to fully relax and enjoy spending time together in paradise!

Here is what I ordered as soon as we arrived - Pina Colada, of course!

This picture was taken within the first hour at the hotel.  We ran to our rooms, put on our bathing suits and went downstairs to have lunch at the pool.  We were so excited to start our vacation. . .

We stay at the Hilton Resort and Spa.  We heard from others that this was one of the best hotels to stay in.  The staff was wonderful and attentive, we had direct access to the beach, the pools were huge and had great views of the ocean and our room was spacious and the bed was sooooo comfortable.  No complaints!

We spent a good chunk of our vacation enjoying the sun and eating!  Here is a video of Bobby playing in the ocean.  You can see the waves were so big.

Here I am enjoying the sun and watching Bobby surf!

Lots of pictures taken laying on the beach or hanging out in the pool.  So relaxing!

We ate some of the best food on our vacation - Italian, Japanese, Steak & Lobster and of course Mexican!

Homemade Salsa!

More pictures and videos to come!

All Things Emma

I am in complete denial this child of mine is 8 months old TODAY.  She is growing up so fast - here are a few things that she's doing now. . . .

She's been rocking back and forth on her hands and knees for the last few days.  I am certain that she will start crawling soon!

Emma is now sitting in a highchair.  We had too many "close calls" having her sit in the bouncy seat while we feed her that it was time to bust the highchair out of storage.  She really likes sitting up like a big girl -- she even bangs on the tray with her hand when she wants more!

She loves to stand while holding onto the pillars.  Ryan used to love doing this. . .

We brought out a lot of Ryan's old toys from storage and set them up in the playroom for Emma.  She loves playing up there especially if Ryan and Oliver are up there with her.

Emma is still rockin' her pretty blue eyes!  Yeah, I was hoping they wouldn't change colors.  We get comments from people about her beautifully arched eyebrows.  I keep telling her women pay big bucks over the course of their lifetime getting their eye brows shaped.  I hope they stay this way!

Emma loves having playdates especially with her friend, Jack.

Fractured Foot!

We've always had a running joke in the family that it's just a matter of time before Ryan breaks his arm/leg or needs stitches.  He is just ALL BOY and we knew it would happen we just didn't know when.  Well, unfortunately that time has come.  Last Friday, Ryan was running around with his buddies at an indoor playground and he tripped and fell.  Doesn't sound so bad, right?  Well, when he fell his left foot collided with the wall.  We knew it was serious after a few hours he would not walk on it at all.  I took him to the Emergency Room that evening and we found out that he had 2 buckle fractures -  one on the top of his foot and the other on the side.  He was fitted for a boot and we were told he had to wear the boot until we saw an Orthopedic Dr.  This all happened last Friday and we thankfully were able to get him an appt with the Orthopedic on Monday.  We had two options -
(1) Put a cast on him or (2) Get a Orthopedic boot.  We opted for the boot!  He has to wear the boot day/night (take off only for baths) for 4 weeks.  The bones should heal themselves with the boot stabilizing the foot.  Wow, what an ordeal!  Our Ryan is taking it all very well.  Here are a few pictures from our visit to the ER and a video of Ryan walking with his boot for the first time.  Bobby and I were so excited for Ryan to walk because he literally had crawled the entire weekend because he feared putting any pressure on his foot because of the pain .. . . .

What a cute lil' patient he is!

RockStar, Baseball Games, Dentist & More!

So, there's been lots going on in The Weilbacher household.  Here are just a few highlights and funny things that we've captured over the last 2 weeks. . .

Ryan's birthday was in late-June however we've been taking our time taking presents out of the closet.  One of the presents from his friend Lola was a cool guitar and microphone set.  You can hook the microphone up to the guitar and your singing can be heard through a speaker in the guitar.  We've had several rock shows. . . here is Ryan jamming out in the bathroom with Mommy and seeing "Old MacDonald".  The kid has some pipes!

Bobby took Ryan to a Roughriders Baseball Game and Ryan loved every bit of it.  He especially got excited when Deuce the Mascot made a special appearance in their suite.

Ryan had his very first trip to the Dentist last week.  You never really know how your child is going to react when they have strangers sticking foreign objects in their mouth.  I must say Dr Jaynes and his staff were wonderful - they prepared Ryan by showing him all the instruments before using them.  He wore CARS glasses to help block the light from shining in his face.  He was so good that they were able to take 2 x-rays of his teeth - have you ever heard of a 3-year old staying still for more than 5 seconds - impossible!

His overall check up went well and he is already talking about his next visit (6 months from now!).

Of course, I must give an update on our sweet Emma.  She loves to stand up while holding onto things for balance.  Today Gracie told me she went from laying on her tummy to a sitting position.  This child will be crawling before we know it.

We are finding as she is getting older that she is becoming a sassy lil' thing.  I've been calling her "Lil' Firecracker" -- it fits her personality!  Check out this video of her at meal time - she arches her back and throws her head back when she's done eating.  She's growing out of her bouncy seat - we will be bringing the highchair out of storage this weekend for sure!
