Pure Mayhem

What is pure mayhem? In my book, it's a great description of the play area at the Galleria Mall on a Saturday afternoon. Whoa - there were a lot of kids!

Ryan was very entertained watching the older kids play and interact. He tried to get in the mix but quickly found out he was a little too small to hang with the big kids. So, he found a fun toy on the sidelines to play with and shortly afterwards made a new friend with an older kid. Ryan can't talk yet but we think it's funny that he is quite social for his age!

Well, This Is A First!

Bobby and I woke up this morning to a big surprise! Miraculously, our son was able to climb out of his crib by himself, slide down the stairs and begin his morning all without his parents getting out of bed. Frightening! What's more frightening is that we didn't hear a thing!

We assumed when he climbed out of bed he made a beeline to his toys downstairs. However, I found out that wasn't the case when I walked into my office this morning. The evidence clearly showed that Ryan made a pit stop in Mommy's office before heading downstairs. Papers were all over the floor, office supplies were taken off the shelves but the dead giveaway was a stuffed animal laying on my paper shredder.

I know what we will be doing this evening. . . .Lowering His Crib Mattress!

Balloons, Baptism & More!

Grandma & Grandpa Weilbacher were in town this past weekend. We had a blast catching the Plano Balloon Festival on Saturday morning. We missed the balloon launch but Ryan got plenty of action in the mini bounce houses.

On Sunday, we had a pleasure of watching Lauren (Ryan's cousin & our God child) get baptised.

Ryan opted for just one nap on both Saturday and Sunday. I chalked it up that he didn't want to miss any of the fun. Crossing my fingers this Monday morning that he gets back into his normal nap schedule!

Grandma & Grandpa came baring Halloween gifts for Ryan.

Ryan got a little scared when some big kids started to rough house. Mommy to the rescue - yes, I did climb through the jump house despite the weight limit!

Love this picture of Grandma and Grandpa watching Ryan play. . .

We all got a very good laugh from this picture - Ryan has tackled this girl and is in the middle of kissing/biting the back of her head. I'd like to think he was just kissing. . .

Tara & Brandon threw a wonderful party after the baptism. Look who decides to finally take his morning nap at 2pm!

Ryan's Girlfriend(s)

Ryan has found himself his very first girlfriend(s). Yes, the word "girlfriends" is plurel because Ryan is seeing twins. What a stud!

Sasha, Tessa & their nanny have a standing date in the mornings with Ryan and his nanny. They play at the park, share food with one another, hold hands, laugh - all the things that you would do on a date, right?

Toot Toot!

I was giving Ryan a bath last night and walked away for just a second to lay out his jammies. Look what I found and HEARD when I came back in the bathroom . . .

It was just a matter of time. . .

We all knew it was just a matter of time before Ryan's little seat on the windowsill turned into . .

Kristen's Bridal Shower

Kristen, my best friend from college, is getting married on October 17th. I, along with her other bridesmaids, threw her a bridal shower at my house this past weekend. We had a great time!

I must say I am really starting to feel like a "Little Miss Hostess" now that I have Ryan's Birthday Party & this Bridal Shower under my belt! I really love putting together a party for friends & family - they are so much fun!

The spread included chicken salad sandwiches, pasta salad, spinach dip, baked brie, veggies/dip & fruit kabobs.

The dessert table - YUM!

Party favors included M&M's & Jelly Beans in these fun glass containers.

Climbing On Couch & Table

I have been reading a great book called "Love & Logic Magic" -- it offers practical parenting tips from birth to 6-years old. I guess I need to see if there is a section titled - "How To Teach Son Not To Climb On Table". (Sigh!)

Labor Day Weekend

We had a GREAT Labor Day Weekend!

On Friday night, I had a few things that I needed to get at the mall. We took a spin on the carousel. I promise Ryan was having a good time despite these next 2 pictures. . .

On Saturday night, we ate pizza at Grimaldi's and then listened to a jazz band playing on the lawn at Watter's Creek. Again, I promise Ryan is having a good time. We really need to work on getting him to smile for the camera. . .

On Sunday, we took friends out on the lake. The weather was perfect!

Friends - Lee & Kristen

On Monday night, we were invited to The Ceaser's for a fajita dinner. On our way to the dinner, Bobby and I were dancing in the car to this song on the radio and look who is jammin' out in the backseat. . .

Dinner at The Ceaser House. As you can see, I was getting very little smiles. I think this was the 30th picture I had taken already and they just wanted to eat. I keep reminding them - if you're lucky then you might make the blog!

Ryan loves playing at The Ceaser's house. New furniture to crawl on . . .

. . . and new toys to play with! Wait, is that a crown on Ryan's head?
